The 2nd annual nanshan open held on January 18,
were a huge success. 36 male and 11 female participated the
contest and made a big party out of it.
After the quali (two runs, better one counts) 6 guys and 4 girls
came to the finals to show the crowd what is possible on a
snowboard. The gals were the first to start and it all was
between zhangjing (PRC) and lee hisu (KOR), at the end zhangjing
showed the better nerve with pulling a big fs air over the
kicker, followed by some nice fs and bs airs in the pipe and 2
50-50s at the rainbow and the kinked rail.
The guys final was ruled by wanglei (PRC) who stomped a huge bs
5 followed by some nice airs in the pipe, a 3 to switch 3 combo,
an andrecht (handplant rulez!), a sweet boardslide at the
rainbow and a 50-50 bs180 out at the kinked rail. Fanlei (PRC)
ruled the kicker with rocket airs! (how long haven't you seen
this trick) and nice ally oop combos. alan wong (USA) pulled the
biggest fs 3 ihave seen so far in china but did not stick it
clearly....
All other riders (from all over the globe btw) did nice runs too
and the crowd was able to enjoy a lot of oldschooltricks (the
tindy is back dudes!) |
